چکیده

Renal transplant is the best renal replacement therapy for patients with ERnd stage disease. ABO incompatible increases chances to undergo but has higher chance on infections and rejections compared compatible transplant. To analyse histological changes at 3 12 month protocol biopsies in transplants (ABOiRTX) correlate them clinical outcomes 1 year. 34 who underwent ABOiKTX between April 2017 March 2018 Muljibhai: Patel Urological Hospital , Nadiad, Gujarat, India were included. Eligible patient a graft biopsy months. The Biopsy samples graded as per Banff correlated 23/34 months [17 6 indication (5 didnot consent, 2 antiplatelets, 4 grafts lost)] 20/23 (2 lost one was antiplatelets)].Protocol revealed no subclinical rejections. 3/17 8/17 had C4d positivity without rejection respectively. ABO-incompatible heart transplants.

A month-old baby girl with blood type O positive received a donor heart organ from a donor with blood type B. This was the first institutional ABO-incompatible heart transplant. Infants listed for transplantation may be considered for an ABO-incompatible heart transplant based on their antibody levels and age. The United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS) protocol is infants under 24 months with t...

One-year protocol biopsies from ABO-incompatible renal allografts compared with a matched cohort of ABO-compatible allografts

INTRODUCTION Early acute antibody-mediated rejection (ABMR) occurs more frequently in ABO-incompatible (ABOi) than in ABO-compatible (ABOc) kidney transplantation. This could lead to increased inflammation/scarring in the ABOi grafts. Protocol biopsy data in ABOi kidney recipients are scarce. METHODS A single-center retrospective matched cohort study was conducted. Eighty adult living donor (...

The UK National Registry of ABO and HLA Antibody Incompatible Renal Transplantation: Pretransplant Factors Associated With Outcome in 879 Transplants

BACKGROUND ABO and HLA antibody incompatible (HLAi) renal transplants (AIT) now comprise around 10% of living donor kidney transplants. However, the relationship between pretransplant factors and medium-term outcomes are not fully understood, especially in relation to factors that may vary between centers. METHODS The comprehensive national registry of AIT in the United Kingdom was investigat...

Early protocol renal allograft biopsies and graft outcome.

To evaluate whether biopsies performed early after transplantation in stable grafts can predict graft failure due to chronic transplant nephropathy, a protocol biopsy was performed at three months in 98 patients treated with antilymphocytic antibodies, cyclosporine and prednisone. Patients were followed for 58 +/- 16 months. Histological diagnosis according to the Banff schema were: normal (N =...

Passenger Lymphocyte Syndrome (PLS): A Single-center Retrospective Analysis of Minor ABO-incompatible Liver Transplants

Background and Aims: Due to the shortage of donor livers, minor ABO-incompatible liver transplantations are commonly performed. Together with the allograft, immunocompetent B-lymphocytes, called passenger lymphocytes, are transplanted. In case of minor ABO-incompatibility, these passenger lymphocytes produce antibodies directed towards the recipient's red blood cells, which causes immune-mediat...
